Miter Cutting
The AST band saw can perform miter cuts from -45° to +60°, with positioning handled by a servo motor and CNC, and hydraulic cylinders stabilizing the main frame. Rollers elevate for smooth rotation, minimizing the table wear.

Clamping Vice
A hydraulic cylinder in a clamping vice secures material during miter cutting, minimizing collision risk by firmly holding both sides. This method, particularly effective in 0° cuts, reduces vibration, enhancing cut quality and extending blade lifespan.
Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL)
The blade lubrication system uses a 100% eco-friendly, plant-based oil for direct application on the cutting surface. Leveraging MQL, it outperforms other oils in reducing friction, thus prolonging blade lifespan and minimizing machine downtime. It also negates the need for cooling fluids.
Blade Tensioning
The AST features a hydraulic automatic blade tension system for precision cutting. It utilizes a laser sensor to detect when the blade is close enough to the material, automatically adjusting the blade speed for efficiency. An electric chip brush keeps the blade clean, enhancing its lifespan.
Magnetic Material Discharge System
This system facilitates the removal of cut materials. It utilizes a unique magnetic plate to transport the cut items to a discharging conveyor, from where they're then removed from the conveyor system.

Feeding Arm with Infeed & Outfeed Conveyors
The feeding arm with gripper carries out longitudinal positioning of beams. The precise motion ability is secured with a servo driven rack and pinion system. The feeding arm can be turned 90 degrees in order to grab the material in a different position. The outfeed steel conveyor rolls are motor driven, while the infeed conveyors are idle.
Software
The AKYAPAK AST Controller software allows material specifications to be inputted into the program, which then creates an NC file. However, if the infeed and outfeed conveyors are not part of the purchase scope, there’s no need for the creation of an NC file. It’s also possible to import DSTV files, although this is an optional feature.
